Dear Parents,
Happy November! We survived the week of celebrating Halloween on a Monday. Thank you to all of the parents who helped to make our Halloween breakfast a success. The class really enjoyed it. This week in ELA we read multiple passages related to the First Lady of the United States. The kids did a wonderful job comparing and contrasting these passages. Also, as part of our center work, students were given presidential candidate profiles and were asked to compare and contrast Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. We also had some more election fun while incorporating grammar through the use of presidential MadLibs. We are gearing up for Election Day next Tuesday. Green Meadow will be having a school wide election to see which candidate would win if kids could vote! Our Veteran’s Day assembly will be held on Thursday (11/10) at 10 am. Remember that there is no school on Friday (11/11) Please take note that our spelling test will be given on Thursday of next week. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Don’t forget to change those clocks back on Sunday!
